It was Opening day at training camp as the Vikings held a light work out on the practice fields at MSU.The Vikings still have a playoff loss to New Orleans fresh in their memories and everyone comes into camp looking to improve on the close but not close enough finish to last season.News 12 sports Eric Gullickson has more.The Vikings hit the practice field today to kick off their 45th consecutive training camp at MSU.The purple finished last season with a 31 to 28 overtime loss at the New Orleans Saints; a defeat still fresh in the hearts and minds.The Vikes say they have grown a lot since then and expect to push each other to even higher heights than we've ever seen from them.Despite not having number four in town the purple have already achieved something it took much of last year to gain.Just one day in they've established a common goal to not repeat the experience of what they felt last February in the Superdome.From Vikings Training Camp, Eric Gullickson, News 12 Sports.
