KEYC weekend anchor Annie Stensrud was arrested on probable cause DWI earlier this week.
Stensrud, you may recall, made national headlines when video of her slurring during a newscast went viral. She told station management that she was taking some medications at that time that caused the intoxicated–like appearance and behaviors.
Thursday, it's learned that Stensrud was picked up after officers say they witnessed her car driving erratically Wednesday around noon in North Mankato.
The stop was initiated by North Mankato Police Chief Chris Boyer on Highway 14, but it was handled by Nicollet County deputies.
Authorities say deputies took Stensrud to the Nicollet County Jail in Saint Peter after she refused a breath test.
She was released from jail later that day.
KEYC General Manager Denny Wahlstrom says that because it is a personnel matter, procedures need to be followed according to station policy, and that no further comment will be made at this time.
