The mayors of North Mankato and Mankato want you to get your bike road ready.
The mayors declaring the week of May 12–19 "Bike Week" in both cities.
All week if your bike is parked at a public rack, you might just find a gift or coupon attached to it.
On Wednesday, May 16, bikers can join North Mankato Mayor Mark Dehen and Mankato Mayor Eric Anderson for a "serious" in–town ride through portions of both cities.
Dehen says, "We invite anybody who would like to ride with us to join us. It'll be a nice, easy ride. But I am going to put a little bit of the coals to Mayor Anderson to make him work hard on this so. We'll race him a little bit."
Something fun for next month's entire Bike Week, if you're caught walking to work or school or from the grocery store you might be stopped and presented with a small gift.
