Mankato's community handbell ensemble rocked the house at United Methodist Church. Artistic director Wendy Greiner says, "It's like you break up the whole piano keyboard and everybody gets two or three notes and so you have to kind of figure where you are and it's a lot of fun."
This year's concert was called Rockin' with River Bend Bells. The group presented the evolution of rock over the years starting with "Rock of Ages" and ending with some lady gaga. Greiner says, "It's a fun piece to play and we had a blast."
This is the 11th year they've held the concert. The artistic director Wendy Greiner says they are always looking for new ringers, but it is an audition only group with a big time commitment.
