According to AAA, this is the fourth consecutive year of an increase in Thanksgiving travel. Land to Air general manager Jason Mekalson says, this weekend is always busy for him because it's a short holiday. Mekalson says, "It's basically a four day weekend and people are generally leaving Tuesday/Wednesday. And this weekend they've proved us right, Tuesday and Wednesday is very busy. We're full on most of our shuttles."
He says this year his customers' travel times are more spread out instead of them all wanting to leave on the same day. AAA predicts the day before Thanksgiving to be the busiest travel day with Sunday coming in at second as many travelers return home.
