A joint venture between the Mankato Clinic and DaVita Dialysis is paving the way for a new state–of–the–art dialysis center in Mankato.
The DaVita Dialysis Center at Mankato Clinic will be located at the Madison East Center next to the Clinic's dermatology department.
Construction is underway and the center should be providing treatments to patients sometime in late January.
Mankato Clinic's Marcia Bahr says, "The new center will have 12 dialysis chairs and we'll have a lot of natural light, and it will be state of the art equipment, and so we have some patients who are very excit4d to have this option."
The center will include twelve dialysis chairs in a patient friendly atmosphere... including in–center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis.
Mankato Clinic nephrologist Dr. Rolf Storvick has been selected as the Medical Director overseeing the new facility.
DaVita operates or provides administrative services at more than 1,900 dialysis centers throughout the United States, which can mean seamless care for patients when they are traveling.
