The MSU football program is coming off its most successful year ever.
The Mavericks made it to the division two national semifinal before falling to the eventual champions from Valdosta State.
That all happened under the watch of acting head coach Aaron Keen.
Now Keen will be acting in that role for a little while longer.
As of Friday the school is looking for a new head coach after reassigning Todd Hoffner to assistant athletic director for facilities development.
The school says in a release that Aaron Keen will remain acting head coach for the Mavericks.
The University says they'll be making additional decisions regarding the head football coach position in the coming weeks.
