What does Santa Claus do after Christmas? We'll it turns out he doesn't just kick back and relax.

The Red Elf went to Serbia to take part in a run, which was held on Sunday.

The annual charity Santa Race featured several hundred people dressed as Santa Claus.

First held in 2008, and sponsored by the city, organizers say this is the only race of its kind in Eastern Europe.

The motto of this year's charity event was "Santa Claus Saves Life," as a station for receiving blood donations from visitors was set up at the starting line.

The event attracted around one thousand runners and onlookers who all turned up to help raise funds benefiting the city's elderly shelter.

Everyone who completed the course received commemorative certificates while winners were presented with wristwatches.
