St. Peter Boys Need Overtime To Beat St. James 89-81

Posted: Updated:

The Saint James Area boys' basketball team is averaging over 70 points per game this season, but the Saints have only been able to find a win once this year.
Tonight they would have their work cut out if they wanted to hit that average, as they hosted the 2nd ranked Saints from Saint Peter who came in giving up under 47 points per game.
St. James was looking for the upset too, Zach Brandts put the hometown Saints in front with five minutes left with a three point play en route to a game high 29.  St. Peter would need two big free throws from senior Peter Kruize to send the game to overtime.  In O-T, Braxton Raymond hit a pair of threes and 2nd ranked Saints pull away to win 89-81.
