Downtown Mankato Brawl Results In Arrest Of Wells Man

MANKATO, MN -

A Wells man is arrested after a fight in downtown Mankato early Sunday morning. Just after two in the morning, Mankato Police were called to the courtyard area between the Cherry Street parking ramp and Mankato Place Mall. Callers told police there was a large fight going on. Police Commander, Amy Vokal, said, "When we got there we found a fight had broken out. That fight moved from the outside of the courtyard into the Buffalo Wild wings establishment - a fight continued in there." Authorities say, 45 year-old Ellis Lee Johnson, Jr. was taken to Blue Earth County jail as a result of the fight. Requested charges include: 5th degree assault, obstruction and disorderly conduct. No injuries were reported.
