Peter Kruize is arguably one of the best post players in the state in Class-2A.
Not only because he's shooting 65 percent, but because of his presence on the court and natural leadership.
The Saints have been tested early on, including an 89-81 overtime victory over Saint James.
Kruize hit 2 big free throws in that game to send it to O-T.
He says that pressure will help the team come playoff time.
Kruize says he knows that in order for the Saints to continue their successful season, he will have to come up big down the stretch.
Raymond has coached Kruize for the last five years, and is not surprised he is the team's new go-to man.
With the way the season is going, the Saints might just be Kruizing back to state, thank to their 6-8 big man.
That's why he's our KEYC Scheels All-Sports Boys Prep Athlete of the Week.
