The MSU women's hockey team had a tall task in front of them on Saturday. Do what no one else has been able to do for the last 31 tries. That is beat the University of Minnesota. The Golden Gophers had a 31 game winning streak entering the game needing a win or tie to match Wisconsin's record 32 game unbeaten streak. The Gophers only held a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period, but Minnesota poured it on in the second with three more goals, and go on to win with a 6-0 shutout to tie the record.
