Secretary Clinton was supposed to be on Capitol Hill last month, but postponed her testimony after suffering a concussion and developing a blood clot near her brain. Her testimony here today could be one of her last appearances on Capitol Hill as Secretary of State. Clinton told lawmakers she is determined to leave the state department and the country safer, stronger, and more secure. One person absent today during that hearing was Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry.l His nomination hearings to become the next Secretary of State begin tomorrow.
