A Chihuahua-Daschund mix was dog-napped from the frontyard of the family's home in military housing in Fort Campbell, Kentucky in June of 2011. At the time Puka was just five months old. Somehow the petite pup ended up 12-hundred miles away in New Mexico where she was recently found roaming the streets. She was taken to the Humane Society. They scanned her, found a microchip from that they were able to call her owners. Who flew in from Kentucky after a volunteer at the shelter donated her frequent flier miles to make the reunion happen.
