Former Representative for district 19A, Terry Morrow says he will help fund the cost of the special election to fill his seat.
Morrow announced in December that he was taking a job with a policy firm in Chicago, and would resign from office.
He ran unopposed in his 2012 re-election.
Morrow says he will wait until after the election before he decides on a dollar amount.
The exact cost of the special election is yet to be determined, but estimates for the total cost have been reported in the $70,000 range.
Voters will choose between Republican Allen Quist, DFLer Clark Johnson and Independence Party candidate Tim Gieseke next week on February 12th.
