Crowds cheering, mud splashing, and cars smashing are allthings commonly found at Demolition Derbies, with the exception of one thing—snow!
Most Demolition Derbies in Minnesota take place during thesummer time, but that wasn't the case in at the NAPA Winter Slam in Garden City.
Hundreds of fans and drivers from the five–state area cameout to this year's event.
Organizers said the dedicated drivers don't mind the cold;they like to crash into each other at just about anytime of the year.
Event Coordinator Jeremy Ertman said, "It's a great event, bring your kids get them excited watch some cars crash and bumpers fall off, everybody gets real excited about it."
The inaugural winter slam three years ago had 80 cars; thisyear they had more than 120.
