A California pianist giving seaside performances is getting ready to take his final bow.
About two weeks ago, local artist Mauro Ffortissimo began working on a damaged baby grand.
The piano was donated, but — because of time and rust — deemed impossible to keep in tune.
Instead of giving up on the piano, Ffortissimo decided to wheel it out to the beach at Half Moon Bay.
Ever since, he's been giving concerts at sunset.
But he'll soon be giving his last, after the city told to stop because he doesn't have a permit..
His last concert will be Friday.
And he'll be going out in style: taking the baby grand out on a boat and setting it on fire.
