State Wrestling Tournament Wraps Up With 9 Area State Champs

Saturday wrapped up the 2013 Minnesota State Wrestling Individual Tournament, and big success for the KEYC viewing area.  Class-AA saw WEM/JWP's Brady Ayers take the 160 lbs title, while Mankato West's Tyler Jakes lost in the semifinal of 195, but would take 3rd.

Class-A had many more wrestlers entering the final day, and many more champions.  8 total in single A.  LSH's Austin Anderly at 106 lbs, LCWM's Louie Sanders at 120 lbs, JCC's Eliot Jurries at 132 lbs, LCWM's Taner Trembley at 138 lbs for his 2nd career title, M-T-ML's Adam Cooling won his 200th match in the semifinal and took the 160 lbs title to be a champion for the 2nd straight year, JCC's Darick Vancura grabbed the 170 lbs title for his 2nd straight trip to state with an individual championship, Sibley East's Nathan Rose won his 2nd straight title, claiming the 195 lbs championship, while River Valley's Lance Briard grabs the title at 285 lbs.  Congratulations to all of our area champions and competitors.
