Orchestra goers had a unique experience today at Mankato West High School.
The Mankato Symphony Orchestra treated listeners to what they called 'Deconstructing Don Quixote'.
Concert Host and musician Sam Bergman lead the audience through the famous classic, explaining to listeners the musical choices made to make the piece sound as it does during the first half of the performance. The second half was uninterrupted, giving the audience a chance to take in what they learned.
"You know this is really just the chance to have fun with music and take it outside the confines of what people normally think of when they think of a symphony orchestra" says Sam Bergman, Concert Host.
This is the 63rd season of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra.
