MSU Ready To Host Central Region Men's D-II Basketball Tourney

Posted: Updated:

The MSU men's basketball team kicks off the division two national tournament on Saturday when they host the Central Region as the top seed.

The Mavericks have reached their goals to this point with an NSIC regular season and postseason championships along with the #1 seed in the region.
MSU has been preparing all week for their opening round opponent from Arkansas Tech.
The Mavs know the Wonder Boys are a good team that will come in hungry.
The team feels the keys to victory are to come out play loose, but also play hard.
No matter what they are coming in with a load of confidence.

Head coach Matt Margenthaler has told his players to enjoy this experience because you don't know when this opportunity will come around again.
He knows that first hand as his squad failed to make the tournament altogether last season, but they are back to host the region for the third time in four seasons.
The coach is ready to showcase the school and the city, and says his team is peaking at the right time.
