Everybody has a bit of Irish in them, even the Germans.
New Ulm hosted their St. Patrick's Day parade late this afternoon. The event took place along Minnesota Street.
Patrons had to bundle up as temperatures were well below average. Even the dogs were wearing their coats. Despite the cold, everyone enjoyed their time.
From leprechauns to tractors to old military artillery, there was something for everybody. "Because they were like wood and stuff and they kind of looked almost like real cannons," said seven year old Isaiah Ranweiler.
It was the 48th consecutive Saint Patrick's Day celebration. The city takes great pride in it as the parade is held on the actual holiday every year.
