Many families have traditions they celebrate together such as holidays and trips. One area family has a tradition that helps save lives. Three generations of Krengels took their seats this afternoon. Reve, her son and grandson often get together to give blood. Grandson Luke Krengel says," Its just something she's always done. My mom would say, "Grandma's going to a blood drive and I just think, right on Grandma!"
Reve is referred to by the American Red Cross as an everyday hero. She was honored today with a 23–gallon milestone pin, a milestone not many reach in a lifetime.
Reva says,"As long as the Lord keeps me healthy, I'll continue to give."
Today's drive was held at the Maple River High school. March is American Red Cross month, a time when the organization highlights the need for blood donation…and everyday heroes like Reve.
