Long–time Bandwagon host Dick Ginn passed away Monday morning after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Dick has been part of Bandwagon since 1974, when he first signed on as co–host with Chuck Pasek.
When Bandwagon turned 50 in 2010, Dick told us how he was working for the show's sponsor when he found himself drafted in to the TV business.
'And they said well, we need to have someone do our part on the show,' he recalled. 'And everybody for some reason turned to me and said there's the guy right there... and I thought 'what are you talking about!!!'
Not only did Dick co–host the show for almost 39 years, he was also known to join in on the banjo every now and then.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m., Monday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 1–8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30–10:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.
Dick Ginn was 68.
