Company Mixes Vender Sales With Non-Profit Fundraising

MANKATO , MINN. -

A Le Sueur company with a unique business model that gives back to the community is held a monthly vendor event at the Wow Zone today. The Azure Dream organizes vender shows with a portion of all sales proceeds going towards a specific non–profit. Founder Mark Robertson says by doing this vendors do not make as much money per sale, but by making it a fundraiser the quantity of sales is often higher. Robertson says, "With charitable causes people are more likely to buy when it's going to give back to their local community. And so through that route we're actually making more by giving back to the community."

A portion of today's proceeds will go towards Mankato's upcoming relay for life event. Azure Dream is hosting another event for Relay For Life at the City Center Hotel on May 25th.
