Residents of the Mankato school district will no longer have to travel to multiple schools to register their students. That's thanks to District 77 opening their new Central Registration facility at the Mankato Intergovernmental Center. The office will give parents one stop to fill out all of their students' information electronically. District administration member Jerry Kolander says this will help streamline the registration process. Kolander says to make the process even easier, parents can print off the registration forms from the school district web site and then just drop them off. He does stress that families should still make an effort to visit each child's school to meet the teachers and principals.
