Busses Getting Busier In St. Peter

Posted: Updated:

St. Peter's buses are getting busier every year. Providing around 74,000 rides last year alone, the city is looking to expand the transit system by providing a scheduled route in addition to its dial a ride service. Right now it costs $1.75 to use the dial-a-ride. When these new changes are implemented the cost for the scheduled route will still cost $1.75, but the dial-a-ride will go up to $3.50. City administrator Todd Prafke says, "What it comes down to is do we find new ways to provide services that we hope will be more customer service friendly in the long run, or at some point do we stop providing service."

This change is still in its preliminary stages. They hope to make the changes by the end of the summer.
