Minnesota Jobless Rate Falls In April

The Minnesota unemployment rate fell to 5.3 percent in April, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development The agency said the jobless rate fell to its lowest point since May 2008 and remains well below the U.S. rate of 7.5 percent in April. In the state Metropolitan Statistical Areas, job gains slowing a bit for Mankato-North Mankato, but our region saw a slight increase in new jobs.
