Less than one–tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT get a perfect score; one of those students can be found right here. Mankato West junior Colt Baker already achieved one high score, a 33, on the test. When the time came to click on the score for his second attempt, he didn't know what to expect.
Colt says, "I was relieved actually, my mother expected me to get a good score, so now she won't make me take it a third time to get a better score."
Colt did take a prep course in between the two tests, but also offers this advice.
Colt says, "Really, just don't be nervous because I think it's dangerous if you get nervous, so relax and eat a good breakfast."
With college entrance exams behind him, Colt says he plans to spend his summer visiting colleges around the Midwest.
