The South Central Service Cooperative in North Mankato is purchasing land for expansion after its membership has grown.
Wendell Sande, the former North Mankato City Administrator and co–op employee says the expansion will allow for more educational opportunities for the area.
While the project is in its beginning stages, Sande says the timeline for completion of the 12–acre purchase is yet to be determined.
Wendell Sande says, "We've had some preliminary discussions with other educational entities in this greater area to talk about potential future needs and how we might work together. "
The land parcel is located adjacent to the Co–op's current building and was approved by the North Mankato Port Authority.
