X-Wing LEGO Model Is Largest Display Of Toy Bricks

They didn't just have to use the Force, but a lot of force to get a new LEGO creation to Times Square.

The LEGO Group unveiled the world's largest model ever assembled of the bricks this morning in the Big Apple.

The project was made Created to celebrate the upcoming premiere of The Yoda Chronicles on Cartoon Network.

The X-Wing Fighter weighs nearly 46,000 pounds and took 32 master builders, five million LEGO bricks and over 17,000 hours to complete.

The model will remain in Times Square as an interactive exhibit through Saturday, May 25th.

After leaving Times Square, the model will "take off" for a summer landing at the LEGOLAND(R) California Resort outside San Diego for guests to visit through the remainder of the year.
