Man arrested after a knife assault in Mankato over a beer pong game

MANKATO, Minn. -

A man ended up in the hospital after being attacked with a knife in Mankato.

Authorities received the call at 12:42 Sunday morning. The incident took place at 110 Glenwood Avenue.

The Mankato Department of Public Safety says the alleged assault apparently took place over an argument related to a beer pong game.

Officials say Colton Thomas Lang allegedly pulled out a knife. Police say Lang threatened one man with object. Authorities also say Lang punched another man while holding the knife in-hand.

A 21-year-old male victim was cut and ended up in the hospital as a result of the attack.
 
Right now 18-year-old Lang is being held in the Blue Earth County jail.

The Mankato Department of Public Safety tells News 12 the following charges are being requested: 2nd-degree assault and terroristic threats. Both are felonies.
