It was certainly nice to see the sunshine on Sunday, and hundreds of people took full advantage of the balmy weather in Nicollet as part of Friendship Days.
Scores of festival-goers gathered in a local park to hear live music. In addition to the tunes, there was also a plethora of food options.
And for youngsters attending Friendship Days, there was also a multitude of carnival rides to choose from.
When it comes to enjoying summer, some say Friendship Days serves as the perfect opportunity to bring people together locally.
"It's a time for the community to gather and to be like a family because Nicollet is like a family, and I think Friendship Days is just a good way to celebrate it, and it's just a good time to come out and have some good food and have some good conversations with everyone," said Julie Giefer, Miss Nicollet 2013.
