FAIRMONT -

The Fairmont city council voted to end its current agreement with Five Lakes Aviation to manage the city's airport. The council made the decision to terminate the contract at Monday night's meeting. The contract will end September 30th at the end of the first year of a 5-year deal. Five Lakes Aviation owner Al Pelzer says he was not given a reason why the council decided to end the agreement early. The city says it is unknown what will happen with the remainder of the contract.
