If you were out and about Sunday morning in North Mankato, you may have noticed a number of road closures. The blocked off roads weren't shut-down because of construction, but for the annual North Mankato Triathlon.
Hundreds of people from all over the country traveled to Hiniker Pond Park to take part in the event. Competitors took to the water for the 1/4 mile swim, hopped on their bikes for a 12-mile ride, then finished it off with a 3-mile run to the finish line.
Organizers of the North Mankato Triathlon hope to continue this year's successful event with even larger numbers turning out to take part in next year's competition.
