A Mankato accident involving a car hitting a pedestrian could lead to an assault charge for the driver.
19-year-old Marisa Michele Wollenzien of North Mankato is accused of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
According to authorities, at 1:42 Saturday morning, a woman she knew, 21-year-old Mollie McIntyre, jumped in front of her car.
"They were having a dispute earlier on in the evening, so it appears as though it continued on," explained Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Sandi Schnorenberg.
Police say McIntyre was intoxicated.
No charges are requested against McIntyre, but Mankato police say Wollenzien could face 2nd degree assault charges.
