Vikings Get Ready For First Full Week of Training Camp

Posted: Updated:

Perry Dyke says, "After taking Sunday off the Minnesota Vikings are back at the practice fields here at MSU to begin their first full week of practice. No question about it, this is a very important camp for number seven, starting quarterback Christian Ponder of the Vikings. Ponder says he is stronger than ever this year and more prepared to lead this team. The Vikings of course made a few deals to make his position a little easier for him, including signing first round draft pick Corderelle Patterson, the wide receiver out of Tennessee. And of course the veteran wide receiver, free agent Greg Jennings from the Green Bay Packers. We should mention that the Vikings have a couple of Minnesota State wide receivers trying to make this team. LaMark Brown and Adam Thelen. The former Mavericks will be my guests tonight on Training Camp update sponsored by Jake's Stadium Pizza. That's at 6:15 on News 12. Please join me for that. All systems are a go. The Vikings are preparing for their first preseason game at home against the Houston Texans but as Leslie Frazier, the head coach for this team will tell you, the real proof in the pudding will come those first two regular season games on the road against division opponent at Detroit and Chicago"
