A New Ulm doctor accused of stealing pain medication makes a plea deal.

Authorities say Doctor David Miller stole 56 Oxycontin pills from a vulnerable adult at an assisted–living facility back in February.

Police set up a hidden camera and say Miller was caught in the act of pocketing pills.

At a plea hearing, Dr. Miller agreed to plead guilty to one count of theft.

In exchange, two counts of possessing a controlled substance were dismissed.

Sentencing is set for September 23rd.
