Gage Clean Up Right on Track

Posted: Updated:

MSU students returned to campus today for the start of class. And they probably noticed the piles of debris left over from Gage Towers.

However, the clean–up of the demolition is right on track to turn the 12–story towers into 420 new parking spots by the fall of 2014.

University officials say things are going according to plan and they're excited about how things turned out.

Ron Fields says, "We are kinda proud of the fact that at least 95% of the materials that were a part of Gage are being reused or recycled. The aluminum from the windows, the steel in the concrete."

Fields also says that housing issues have been solved by two new residence halls, with a third that may come later down the road.
