A 9-year-old boy was able to get through security at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and board a plane without ticket.
According to the Associated Press, security screened the child at the airport shortly after 10:30 A.M. last Thursday. He then boarded a Delta Airlines flight, and subsequently flew to Las Vegas, Nevada at 11:15 that same morning.
Apparently the flight crew on the plane became suspicious and contacted Las Vegas police. Authorities then met the aircraft when it landed, and transferred the boy to child protection services.
Delta and the Transportation Security Administration released statements saying they were investigating this incident.
