North Dakota Continues to Clean Up After Snow

Posted: Updated:

Along with large mounds of snow, you can see dozens of utility crews working to restore power after power lines and poles got knocked down.

More than a foot of heavy, wet snow weighed down power lines and snapped tree branches.

Jerome Roehrich, Mayor of New Leipzig, ND says, "Let's say we got caught with our pants down, I had not gas at home for my generator, pumps weren't working, nobody had any power."

They are on day four with no power and have no idea when it will be completely restored.

Crews will have to work through muddy and slushy conditions to continue restoring power.
