A Mankato man was arrested early yesterday morning after police say he was verbally and physically assaulting people.
Mankato police arrested 25 year old Reis Tueffel in the 400 block of south Broad Street.
According to police, Tueffel attempted to start a small pile of leaves on fire in an apartment complex and was also making terroristic threats to people as they walked by.
Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Dan Schisel says, "They can be a wide range of many things but they felt threatened and he was using language that made them fear for their safety."
Requested charges for Tueffel include second degree assault, fifth degree arson and terroristic threats
