The October blizzard in South Dakota had many farmers lose cattle that they would sell, but now some ranchers are reconsidering selling the cattle that did survive.
Tens of thousands of animals did not survive the blizzard.
Ranchers have been spending time moving the cattle that survived from roadsides into pastures.
Getting the surviving cattle back to full health is their first priority.
Ranchers say it took them about a week of vigorous feeding the cows until the animals returned to full strength.
