Man Jailed After Weapons Raid in Faribault County

KIESTER, Minn. -

A Faribault County man is in jail this Midday after authorities raid a farmhouse near Kiester.

The Faribault County Sheriff's Office tells KEYC News 12 that it happened about 7:15 Tuesday night.  Tactical Response team Members conducted a search for illegal weapons.

Those team members are from Faribault, Freeborn, Steele, and Waseca Counties.  They took Michael Mixon in to custody.

Faribault County Sheriff Mike Gormley says they discovered silencers, which suppress gunfire noise. Those devices are illegal.

The investigation is ongoing.
