Rasmussen Teams Up To Help Mankato's Honor Flight

Posted: Updated:

Rasmussen College in Mankato teamed up with other schools across the country to help the local community through the sale of donated bags.

The items were being sold for only $5.

However, people had the option to donate more cash than the sticker price.

The proceeds from the bag sale are going to help restore the Mankato World War Two Honor Flight society.

Debb Pongratz says, "We received bags for the whole area here in town. It was interesting how little gentlemen would bring in bags from outside and women and then all the other campuses throughout the country: Florida, Wisconsin, Illinois, the Twin Cities all brought their purses down here for us to sell."

So far, Rasmussen has sold over 100 bags totaling more than 500 dollars in donations.
