A Saint Peter man is jailed after a chase that started on Highway 22 early Sunday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 38-year-old Nathan Gilbert Johnson was parked awkwardly at the intersection of 22 and LeSueur County Road 102 when a state trooper pulled up behind it.
Johnson started to drive and the trooper pulled him over.
The trooper reported that Johnson had no license and smelled strongly of alcohol.
He then drove off north on 22.
Authorities say the trooper followed him on Highway 169 and then 99 before the car turned in to a residential area in St. Peter.
That's where the chase ended when his vehicle became stuck on a boulevard.
Johnson is facing possible charges of felony fleeing of an officer and 4th degree DWI in Nicollet County.
