Gustavus Adolphus Is Raising Funds For A Library Renovation

Gustavus Adolphus College is developing plans torenovate their library.

The Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library Opened in 1972 .

The school has already raised four million dollars and willbreak ground on the new construction when they reach the eight point onemillion goal needed.

Officials hope the renovated library will meet thetechnological needs of students beyond the traditional bound books... today andinto the future.

Jack Ohle, President of Gustavus AdolphusCollege, says "A library is probably the most important building on thecampus. It's the hub for academic excellence; its also the hub forsocializing."

Though the size of the library will not beincreased, the Hillstrom Museum of Art will be adjoined to the renovatedstructure.
