Melissa Miller pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder, this morning in a Park County, Colorado courtroom.
Nine months after Saint Peter native LeAnne "Annie" Meyer disappeared from her Wheat Ridge home, her roommate, Melissa Miller, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
The plea deal stipulates a 20-year sentence plus five years of mandatory parole for Miller.
Miller also agreed to pay restitution to Meyer's family and friends.
Meyers' Friends and family say they're glad its over, but the punishment still isn't enough.
Annie's mother Pat Meyer says, "It's a good day. I think Melissa got what she deserved. My family and I are happy we didn't have to go through a trial. All our friends...all our support we had...we couldn't have done it without everybody."
Annie's best friend Jacquelyn Sorce says, "It's not enough...what's enough? Unless Annie walks through my front door, it's never going to be enough."
The judge accepted the plea agreement and gave Miller credit for the 135 days she has served since July 16th.
