This month's KEYC Jefferson Good People Award recipient lights up our community in many ways.
It takes many hours and a whole string of volunteers to bring the Kiwanis Holiday Lights display to Sibley Park each year.
Kyle Mrozek is one who is leading the charge. He said, "I believe when you are a part of a community like this, you have to impact it in more ways than just your job."
And he certainly found a colorful way to make an impact, as a board member of the Kiwanis Holiday Lights Display in Sibley Park.
"Being a part of this project down here and seeing the number of kids and adults who enjoy and the positive feedback we get - it makes it easy to put the time in," he said.
Kyle says this display is a shining example of what our community can do, when all come together, saying "It makes me feel humble to be a part of it. There are so many volunteers, without all those different parts, there wouldn't be any of it."
A beacon throughout our community, Kyle says there is a key factor to juggling a full time job. He's Vice President of the Mankato Moondog - and full time community service.
"Find things you feel passionate about," he says.
When the lights come down, Kyle continues his volunteering by helping others shine as President of the Miracle League of North Mankato.
