A polar bear cub is showing off his stride this week at the Toronto Zoo.
His journey from day 1 has not been an easy one.
The unnamed cub was born to mother, Aurora, one of the Toronto Zoo's two female polar bears.
Two of her three cubs did not survive the first 48 hours.
The remaining cub was transferred to the zoo's intensive care unit.
With 7 feedings a day and constant monitoring, the cub started to show signs of development.
Now it seems he is officially out of danger.
The Toronto Zoo plans to hold a naming contest for the bear next month.
