Cold-weather lovers flocked to Saint Peter today, but it might have been a bit too chilly as Winterfest was moved indoors.
The annual festival was in full swing this afternoon at the local fire hall.
Today's activities included a Youth Ice Fishing Contest, fishing pole giveaways, games, and of course plenty of food.
The event was originally set to be at Haslet's Pond, but due to the temperature, the occasion was moved under a roof.
Nonetheless, organizers say Interest still served its purpose.
Andy Redning, an event organizer and Peter volunteer firefighter says, "It's just giving back to the community and the kids. St. Peter fire department puts it on every year, it's our ninth one. So we just try and involve the kids a little bit and give back to the community."
Winterfest 2014 continues through until Saturday, February Eighth at various Saint Peter locations.
